Today, I'm a proud wifey ♥
My honey is now officially a Chief in the U.S. Coast Guard!! We went to the ceremony this morning where I and a Senior Chief & friend of his got to "pin" him with his new Chief pins (see lapels). His sister is also in town visiting and she got to see her big brother get his promotion :)
From now on, he will be referred to as Chief Blackwell by anyone beneath him in rank and hopefully without sounding like a total snob, I gotta admit - that's pretty darn cool!!

It really is a wonderful accomplishment and I am a so very proud of him! Being married to a military man has taught me so much about taking pride in our armed forces and all that they do to protect us!
