Teaser Tuesday 10.19.10

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading and it asks us to...
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share a couple of “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.
Isalys's Teaser:
"Kate Cameron did not possess Alice's fire. All the same, there was a restrained senusality about her that he found oddly appealing. But that was only a first impression. When he looked into her grave brown eyes, he sensed...not fragility. She was anything but fragile. Lonely was the word he wanted.

So much introspection was making his head ache.  He shrugged out of his clothes and climbed into bed.  Are you the one?  The words became a litany as he drifted into sleep."

  10. Great teaser! Totally caught my interest. Here's mine from Tom McLaughlin's book, "Borneo Tom," which about the author's travel adventures in Malaysia along with some fantastic sketches:

"While climbing down from that 800-metre jungle-covered hill, I noticed a monkey stood in front of us blocking our way. My friend Rudy
proceeded, but the monkey gave a menacing growl."
