Friday Blog Hop 8.26.11

TGIF! It's finally Friday! I hope the weekend lasts forever! lol
We're not sure what we'll be doing this weekend yet. We may just keep a low profile and try and relax.
What are you guys up to? Reading anything interesting?
Isalys is reading the latest Night Huntress book and I may be starting it too!
Love it!

This week's Book Blogger Hop question is:
“Non-book-related this week!! Do you have pets?”
{This question is soooo right up Isaly's alley!}

I have three munchkins that are like my kids. Toby and Cassie are Teacup Chihuahuas and Ladybug, who we found on the street, we think is part-Chi/part-Italian Greyhound.  Cassie is the tiniest, the oldest and our Diva; she totally rules the roost! Toby is second oldest and a total Mama's Boy and Ladybug is the youngin' and the brains of the bunch.  I love how they each have such distinct personalities yet get along so well.  I am a HUGE dog lover, but my limit is three...as set by my husband because frankly, if it were up to me, we'd have puppies coming out our ears, LOL!

{{Cassie (left), Toby (left of 2nd pic) and Ladybug, the blonde}}

I own a Rotty named Spikey-bear and an African Gray named Ashes. When naming my rotty I couldn't choose between Spike or Bear {b/c he looked like a bear} so I just went with both! Ashes is grey so uh... yeah.. not pretty creative there huh? lol It's funny when I hear Ashes talk because he sounds just like my stepfather! He even tells the dog "Bad boy!"

We hope everyone has a fantabulous weekend!!!

  4. Glad to finally meet your pets!

    I used to have a turtle named Spidey (When I got her she was trying to climb out of the carrying case like a Spider, hence Spidey, not very creative either). I said "used to" because just this week she passed away :'( after 7 long years of being with me. Every time I pass by the empty tank I want to put some food in there to feed Spidey but she is no longer there (she's burried in the backyard where my nephew wanted to dig her up b/c he wanted to see her again). I miss her.

  5. I have a Sky Blue Budgie called Little Miss Stevie who is 6 1/2 years old. Now, I can just imagine your question about her name... I bought a boy, he got into a fight with another budgie and turned into a girl in under a year (there's the short version of a very long story). She's cheeky and loves her cuddles, chin scratches and kisses and thinks she's human enough to be added into phone conversations by waiting until I'm on there to start singing or kissing so the person on the other end hears and asks how she's doing; then they say: "oh, say hi to Stevie for me won't you?"
    So, that's my bird... cheeky as hell, but really, I do love her to bits. :)

  7. Awwww, so cute! A bunch of my friends have chihuahuas and they're really not yappy or annoying at all. What amuses me most is that one of these friends is former navy--so, super-strong, built, manly-man kind of guy with these tiny little dogs. I love the irony!

    Smiles!
