Watch the trailer and experience the phenomenon like never before, only at the Hunger Games Explorer! -

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone. THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE opens on November 22, 2013.

    1. I want to go with you all so please keep me in mind when you plan your movie night. I am so excited!

    2. I can't wait. I've been staying away from the trailer because I want to be surprised but I loved the stills you included.

    3. I so can't wait for this! I loved the trailer.

    4. So, does anyone else feel like this movie is Mockingjay and not Catching Fire? The synopsis sounds ok, but the preview seems different. I might not remember details exactly, but I do know there was a second Game and it's not even mentioned in preview, is it? And I thought the rebellion action didn't get heavy until Mockinjay? It will still be good, just different. Or maybe my memory sucks arse, which wouldn't surprise me...

You will have to carry Smash on a stick when you go see it so I can go with you ladies! LOL

    5. This looks better than the first one!! :D

Smash Attack: They cheated a little bit of Mockingjay into the first movie, too. I think, since the audience already understand the horror of the hunger games, they're going to play up the circumstances that lead into the second hunger games in the book series. They'll be included here OR put in the next movie (and they may make 4 movies from the 3 books....profit, and all that), but it looks from the teaser like they want to emphasize the political background influencing our beloved characters.
