Easy peezy!!
These are some goodies we've given to each other 'just because':
Isalys had gone to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios last year and thought of me, as always :) She bought me this awesome Time Turner key chain from the Harry Potter collection! Isn't it fab?! I ♥ it!
I had also visited Orlando last year and stopped by Downtown Disney (one of my favorite places to shop at while in Orlando, FL). I found this cup I knew she'd drool over - quite literally, she's got a problem.... I kid, I kid.... or do I... anyhoo :P
Aside from sharing a love for sniffing books, we also share a love for all things Tim Burton!
What do you guys think?
{I bought one for myself too, lol}
♥♥♥♥
You have the best ideas!!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you! We love giving so we figured, why not find a way to promote kindness ya know?
ReplyDelete:P
Ok so other than now thinking I seriously need to sign up for this, i'm also in very serious envy of that Nightmare Before Christmas mug! You can never have too many things Tim Burton!
ReplyDeletehttp://blackfingernailedreviews.blogspot.com/
@Khadija: Add it your wishlist! You may get it :)
ReplyDeleteOh myyyy gooosh!!! What a lovely idea!!
ReplyDeleteI love giving, which is why we host so many giveaway on the blog, lol!
..but I have to ask.. can I join even though I'm from Germany ? *puppy eyes* I know, shipping to Germany is not so cheap, so I'd understand.
But... I could "wish" for Kindle books?
I have a amazon.com account so for me it's not a problem to gift things.
Of course you can join! I hope there's someone kind enough out there to ship to Germany! That would be an awesome RAK! :D
ReplyDeletePS, Kindle books are a great idea!
♥ V
I'd be willing to ship over there! {wink}
ReplyDelete:)
Awesome!!!! Gosh this idea is so wonderful! I will create a list and join!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderment!
:))
To Danny: I am thinking about joining too. And I am from the Netherlands. Shipping should be doable if we exchange things, right? We can use thebookdeposetory :) Free shipping!
ReplyDeleteCutie idea :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I entered :) My list is still short on normal reading books since I only recently have been putting them there. However I do have more wishlists, including cookbooks & manga. (and bento stuff too) But the problem is, that I can't see the wishlists of the other persons? One says the URL doesn't exist, and the other one is a private profile?
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea girls! You girls come up with the best ideas! Thanks for this, I'll check it out:)
ReplyDeleteOk, so... I've taken off the MR Linky and added a Google Doc. Hopefully this should make contacting people easier!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask!!
♥ V
I love the ideas you come up with but this one is definitely one of my favorites! It's such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteBut, I do want to say that I tried looking at your list and it said it doesn't exist...maybe it's my laptop..just wanted to check. Thanks guys! : )

ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing it to my attention!! My wishlist link is fixed :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you girls know how amazing you are!
ReplyDeleteAww Missie! Thank you! You're too cute!
ReplyDelete♥
Hey Book Angel, you might be getting TWO books coming your way. Sending email now!
ReplyDeleteYayyyyy!!!! A RAK!!!
ReplyDeleteWOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I love this idea! I think I'll switch between the two, or who knows~ maybe sometimes I can do both!
ReplyDeleteI just bought a book for someone on the RAK list :) I will not say who it is, but the person knows of course ;) I loved buying a book for someone else :) I just hope it arrives safely! It is the first time that I shipped something to a different address then my own.
ReplyDeleteYayyyy!! That's awesome!!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is the coolest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, LOVE!!!!! I added my info, grabbed a button and now I am going to look at wishlists.
ReplyDeletelove, Love, LOVE!!!!
I just randomly picked a link and made a purchase for someone! Hope it puts a smile on her face
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful idea! I'm thinking I'll probably alternate, every other month! :) So great!
ReplyDeleteI did accidentally fill out the form twice, because the first time I forgot the link to my GR list, so if you want to delete that, it's okay. :)
I really love this idea! I will be buying a book for someone closer to the end of the month!
ReplyDeleteOh and in the forum some of the links aren't clickable (mine included!) but you can look everyone's wish lists up by email on Amazon. Sorry if that's already been said! :)
If the person has a wishlist on amazon, can we skip notifying them and go ahead and secretly ship so it's an even more of a surprise? :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, a lot of my wishlist books are for Kindle, and some are for real books because I have the other corresponding books in physical copies, but Amazon shows that. I think I have mine set up so that someone can buy me something without needing my address, but I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I just bought someone something! ;)
*jumps up and down* I got a R.A.K!!!!
ReplyDelete*does a happy dance* this is so awesome!
*runs to aLmYbNeNr and hugs her tightly" .
I got "Across the Universe" and my Kindle looooves this! I will put up a post asap to praise this wonderful idea and tell anyone who wants to hear it that I got an awesome R.A.K. ..
....*still dancing*...
Aw! Glad I could surprise you! *hugs back* :)
ReplyDeleteAwww {{BIG HUG}} to both of you!! Surprises are the best and I'm so happy to see you all getting into the spirit of R.A.K.
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile today :)
♥Isalys
This is a really cool idea. I will be looking through the lists tomorrow (since its pretty late for me now) and try to send something to someone.
ReplyDeleteYay love this! :) Will scope through tomorrow and see what I can get.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Thanks for giving me a heads up :) I have a house full of kids at the moment, but I’ll be back to sign up when things quiet down.
ReplyDeleteThis is soo amazing!!! What a wonderful idea<3
ReplyDeleteI just mailed a book to someone on the list. I had an extra copy. I do have some books I may be getting rid of that I was not that thrilled with to make room.. I will probably look back in March for that. This is an awesome idea. I read a lot but I do not buy a lot anymore. My book buying would cost my family way too much for as much as I read.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You’ve been chosen to receive the Seven Facts Award. Go here to collect your prize:

ReplyDeleteOMG what a wonderful idea!! A little late to sign up for February now I'm thinking...but you'll have another one in March - right? Hope so! I defiantly what to participate! I love sharing book love!
ReplyDeleteHello, I have signed up for the RAK - but was wondering if I could change the link for my wish list. I had put the links to a bunch of different book I wanted in the database, but it just makes things hard to read. If you want, you can take that out and put this link in instead: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/2162476-tishia?shelf=wishlist
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Paranormal Opinion
@Paranormal Opinion:
ReplyDeleteAll done :)
Thanks to everyone for signing up. If you didn't make it in time for February, no worries because March is right around the corner!
♥Isalys
I heard about you from Lori@ Pure Imagination, this is amazing and had to sign up. Fabulous Idea very excited about it.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely sign up for March (and breaking my book buying ban at least once or twice...lol). I made a Kindle and a Book Depository list. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thank you to Lori at Pure Imagination and Tisha at Paranormal Opinion - for Halfway to the Grave and Last Sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to sign up for March!
ReplyDeleteI'm signing up for March! This is such a cool new thing, because there are so many nice bloggers out there that I'd love to share with!!
ReplyDeleteI tried to sign up for march yesterday, I added all of my info, but I don't see it in the Google document? Definitely interested in this, and love that Reading with Tequila linked me!
ReplyDelete@Nicole: No worries - you're in there. Your list is # 29 :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully some of your wishes will come true!
♥Isalys
This is a fantastic idea. I'd love to sign up for March. Has that one been posted yet?
ReplyDeleteDo you have the grab link for the button so i can just past it in my sidebar?
ReplyDeletethanks so much!! Its now on my blog http://reviews.blueteacup.com
ReplyDelete:D
What a lovely, terrific idea!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on Facebook when I was browsing and I'm so glad I did - I knew instantly it would be one of my new favorites!
I don't wish to receive so I won't have a wish list but I would love to gift someone once a month and if I can maybe a little more often.
ReplyDeleteI'm not looking for gratitude just the simple pleasure of knowing that someone got the book they wanted! I love that feeling and I want to pass it on, Books Rock! I'm going to start today!
I think you guys are pretty amazing for thinking this up and then setting the whole thing up!
It's just such a wonderful idea!
This is amazing! I am so happy to sign up :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! I am in Australia so hope it is ok for me to sign up as well :)
ReplyDeletehttp://obsessionwithbooks.blogspot.com/
Brilliant idea! I am having a slight issue seeing the whole list! I know this because I cant see me on the list of a few people I know are on it
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same issue as Kylie...I don't see myself or the person I was planning on sending one to!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to sign up... but can't figure out how?
ReplyDeleteI just just emailed 2 people :D this is my first time participating so hopefully doing it right :D
ReplyDeleteHi! I was previously RebekkasReadingRoom.blogspot.com but I've changed my URL to PrettyDeadlyReviews.blogspot.com.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to update that on my entry to your list. Thanks!
@Bekka: Your URL has been updated :)
ReplyDeleteHapping RAKing everyone!! Thanks for playing along.
♥Isalys
Thanks =)
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same issue as a few people above me. I can't see myself on the list, or anyone who's signed up in April.
Aw, I just stumbled upon this and I have to say it is such a neat idea!!!! I love meeting/sharing books with other readers!!! This is a great way to do that and make someone's day brighter!!! Thank you for coming up with this!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI've just found out about this and it sounds so fun. Thanks for putting this together.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why it took me this long to find out about this awesome event! Excited to start May's RAK.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful idea. I know how happy I am when ever I win a book or find a delightful freebie on Amazon. I found your site through another blog and have signed up to receive your email blog and look forward to following what you have to say. This is all new to me and I will have to read closer on how to participate I guess - do I just go to Amazon and sign up or ??? Thank you so much for your efforts.
ReplyDeleteHi Ladies!
ReplyDeleteI have a question! Do we sign up every month? Do we use the same spreadsheet? I'm confused :S But that doesn't take much most days ;)
Thanks!
Natasha A.

ReplyDeleteRAK is such a great idea! I can't wait to sign up for it.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
How cool are you guys? What an awesome idea! I've signed up, picked out a giftee (and apparently invented a word), and have blogged about this. Love it!

georgia-summers.blogspot.com
This is an awesome idea!! :) i just signed up and hope to recieve and send RAK's to people :D
ReplyDeletehttp://bookmigik.blogspot.com/p/wishlist.html
Hi, everyone!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a very cool idea, but I have a question. Is there a way to know who is already getting a RAK and who isn't? It looks like someone could potentially get more than one RAK if chosen more than one person, yet others may not receive anything. I would like to pick someone that I know isn't getting anything from anyone else. How we can determine that?
Darlene. If the wish list is made on amazon, when someone has ordered that book for you then it is taken off the list and moved to the purchased part of it. Hope that helps :)
ReplyDeleteHis this is my July RAK post http://le-grande-codex.blogspot.com/2011/08/july-rak.html
ReplyDeleteI signed up for the August RAK a couple of days ago, but i can't find my RAK :/ did i sign up?
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! And your ideas. In serious need of followers - http://immabkreviewer.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteI'd love to do this! How do I sign up?
ReplyDeleteGot to love Tim Burton.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I'm just now seeing this! I too am a lover of all that is Tim Burton! I would stalk him if I could... I mean that. I actually just got a new blog design installed today which happens to be Tim Burton themed! You guys would love it! Perfect time to check it out too because my most recent post is my August RAK post! Love you guys!
ReplyDeletehttp://compelledbywords.blogspot.com/2012/08/random-acts-of-kindness-rak-august.html
OMG where did you get that mug? It's awesome! LOL Love it!
ReplyDeleteAlso is there a place I can find an example of a wrap up post?
Thanks! :)
