Isalys's New Amazing Bookshelf!

I am a woman in love...with my new bookshelf/display cabinet!

Over the weekend my hubs and I decided to go cruising and we ended up stopping at our favorite local antique store.

As we're walking around, my husband says to me, "Oh shit! Just found something you're going to love. I'm not telling you what it is though, you have to find it." So of course, I start perusing slowly waiting for something to jump out at me and go "boo".  As I work my way around, my hubs then says, "You're getting warmer! When you see it, don't scream or break anything, okay?"

And then...
The clouds parted, a light shined down from the heavens and there, as if waiting for me was the bookshelf/display cabinet of my DREAMS! A mini English Red Telephone booth (circa 1956)...three and a half feet of FUCKING AWESOME!!

My brain was taken over by the Demon of Uncertainty for about a nanosecond, but then the Angel of Logic stepped in and said, "Nu uh, you're buying this!" It reminded me that I was in an antique store and this was likely not going to be there for very long!

Look at it...isn't it glorious? I'm like a proud mom! *sniffle*


On the top shelf, I have my little red post box, my little black English taxi and a little English flag. I still need to find a double-decker bus and Big Ben. Then below it I have my English Historical Fiction lit...how perfect is that?

 My office, aka my Little English Haven, is my favorite room in the house! I need a few more touches here 'n there (I have my eye on a badass London Collage that I want to have framed and I need some Union Jack stuff) but I think you guys see where I'm going with it ;)
