No Time, No Time, There's Never Any Time

Hi guys,

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to be M.I.A this week so no blogging for me for a couple of days :(

I have a convention and several events that I need to attend for work so my days are going to be fully occupied for a bit. I won't be able to sit in front of a computer until Thursday and I'm probably going to have a whole lotta catching up to do so please be patient with me this week.

I'll try to be back to regularly scheduled programming as soon as possible.

9/11 - Where Were You?

Today marks the 9th anniversary of the tragic events that took place on 9/11/2001. We were all in one way or another affected by the events that took place that day...either from personal loss or pain felt for the loss of fellow Americans! Today we were remember all those that felt the pain the most!

♥ God bless the heroes that perished trying to help others and God bless those that died in fear while trapped in a burning tower or target plane ♥

This day will be forever known as one of the most painful days in American history!

I remember the details of that day like it was yesterday...

I was at work and my boyfriend (now husband) called to tell me what had happened. I didn't have a TV at my office so I was totally unaware that we were under attack. He was telling me about how the first plane had crashed into one of the Twin Towers when the second plane hit. I remember the sounds of his coworkers screaming and hollering in the background. I was frozen - not understanding why this was happening. His words that moment stayed with me - he said, "Babe, mark my words...we're going to war!" He was right! That was the moment we knew that it was war and life would never be the same :(

I went to the TV repair shop we had next door and borrowed a small set. No work got done that day! The phone's stopped ringing and it felt like the world had stopped turning. My co-worker's cousin happened to be visiting us from NY and she spent the whole afternoon panicked because she couldn't get a hold of her family. I was so worried for her!

We all went home early that day. My mom, who works in Downtown Miami, also left early since we had no idea which other cities were possible threats. Fortunately, there were no other attacks than the ones in NY, the Pentagon and Flight 93 - but it was enough! It was enough to cause a world of fear and pain for thousands of people! It was enough to change the course of our History! It was enough to change the world we live in!


My only fond memory of that day was watching everyone unite regardless of their differences. We were ALL just AMERICANS that day and that was a beautiful thing to watch ♥

What is our favorite post from within the last 3 months?

Hmm, I would have to say that our favorite posts are usually our VLOGS. Not only do we have a blast filming them {usually late into the night}, but it allows us to show you guys what we're really like. It makes us feel like we get to interact with you in a way that's not possible with our other, everyday posts. Sadly, our vlogs have been sparse lately what with our ridiculous schedules these days. Vanessa and I both really miss it and hope to get together again soon. Can you believe it's been like 2 weeks since we've hung out?! *e-gads!*

On a non-vlog related post, I would probably say one of my favorite reviews that I've written was for The Eternal Ones by Kirsten Miller. It has been weeks since I read it and it has stayed with me. That's not to say I ponder it my every waking moment, but I am quick to recommend it to others. I loveeee the romance and complexity of the story and it was so well-written that I was a joy to read. ♥Isalys

No device can ever replace the glory of the printed book. For bookworms like us, a book is an object of comfort, joy and maybe even a little magic! However, we cannot imagine living in a world as advanced as ours and not having bounds & leaps made to change our reading experience ~ hence the e-reader! I recently caved and got the Barnes & Noble Nook. I held back for a long time, but I felt it was high-time to get with the 21st century. What motivated me to get it was the volume of ARC's being released in e-formats by sites like NetGalley.

So in answer to the question - BOTH!
