US vs. UK (Round 11)

Today we're pairing up the US and UK versions of Jennifer Donnelly's "Revolution" that was recently released.

Oh wow, I am stuck like chuck on this one. I may lean more towards the US, only because Angela from Reading Angel sent it to me as a RAK. But who can resist that key! Both equally gorgeous covers! My vote is a draw (I know, I suck) lol.

Like Vanessa, I'm totally stuck on this one too!  I love the US cover because of the contrast between the old and the new.  It's so unique and has a great, vintage feel to it.  On the other hand, I have a think for antique keys so I'm totally {hearting} the key on the UK cover.  Grr...decisions, decisions!

What do you guys think?
We need a tie-breaker here.

  1. I'm totally not one to talk about this. I did an entire project about the design of the US version. I love it, but I also love the enigmatic nature of the UK...

  2. This is one instance where I just love both of them. If I HAD to choose, I think I'd go with the UK... But that's a hard choice.

  3. Ugh, what a tough choice. They are both AWESOME. But, I think the UK one is better. I think it better fits the story, which I just read last week (so it's fresh in my memory! LOL).

  6. The UK cover, probably. I don't really like faces on the covers of books, plus that key is just so pretty.

  9. As much as I do like the US cover, I am a sucker for old keys like that.
But I have an ARC of the US so I might just have to buy the UK one so I can have both ;p

  11. I think I'm gonna go with the UK one - it's simple, but I really like the key against the plain background.

  15. The US one is a pretty cover, for sure, but... THAT KEY!! Definitely the UK one for me. I remember the first time I saw the UK one I think I almost gasped. I have this thing for old keys and key necklaces, so I definitely do prefer that one.

  17. I have to go with the U.K. cover. I've never liked the U.S. cover. Something about it.... make me lose interest in reading.

    I'm weird.

  18. Ooh I can't decide! I think I am leaning towards the UK version simply because I have the other one and am used to it, lol

  19. Being honest, neither would make me want to read it as l don't really like historical books and both these make the books look historical.
    Probably USA though =)

  20. I would probably say the US one just because I haven't seen the UK one up until now.

  23. There is NO QUESTION here for me, the UK cover wins hands down with a bullet!! The antique key is gorg, and the background has a timeless elegance to it. I want to read this book based on the cover alone. The US cover I wouldn't give a second glance.
