Review:
In Desire Me, Robyn DeHart takes us along another adventure with the Men of Solomon. In her previous novel, we chased after Pandora's Box and its cursed bracelets. This time around, we are after the secrets of the lost City of Atlantis.

Our hero, Maxwell Barrett, is your typical romantic male lead. He's wealthy, handsome, and spoiled. However, he's also smart, ambitious and his life goal is in proving the existence of Atlantis. He doesn't want more wealth and he's not in need of a family. The loss of his family at a young age taught him to only live life for himself.

Sabine Tobias is the antithesis of Max. She's dedicated to her family which consists of her three aunts, to the community that she grew up in and to preserving the culture and legacy of Atlantis. To do so though, she must keep its very existence a secret from anyone who would wish to exploit it. The deaths of some beloved friends indicates to the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy that threatens to destroy it all.

Sabine learns that Max managed to locate the map that details the exact location of Atlantis. This was a huge accomplishment considering how well hidden the map had been. In an attempt to get the map back, she joins a card game and bets the map against Max. Her attempt fails and then she's off to think of a plan B.

As these things usually go, Max and Sabine are attracted to each other. Their goals are obvious, but their motives are not. Max wonders what a pretty young miss could possibly want with a dusty old map. Sabine understands the urgency of getting her hands on the map...the danger is getting closer! Max, by virtue of getting involved with Sabine is now in danger as well. What Sabine doesn't yet realize is that she has two enemies and both want her dead.

Robyn DeHart gives us a fun book that cleverly combines romance with myth and adventure. The characters don't exactly break the mold, but they are still witty, intelligent and fun to read. The secondary characters of Sabine's aunts are especially charming. The villains are...well, villainous (haha). They are selfish, conniving and brutal.

I enjoyed Desire Me, but I have to admit that I enjoyed Seduce Me a bit more. It could be that as the first of the series, it was new and refreshing. Nonetheless, Robyn has a real talent for bringing to life a world where mythical places and legendary objects truly exist. What if Pandora's Box and Atlantis were real? And what if these things or places fell into the wrong hands?

Desire Me stands all on its own, but for lovers of romance and adventure, I recommend you read both and see which adventure you prefer!
