Challenge Yourself...Isalys

**List will be updated regularly**

In the spirit of challenging ourselves to read more, I have decided to jump aboard the "Challenge Yourself" bandwagon.

I have far too many books sitting on my shelf at home just waiting to be read. The reason for that is that while I read a lot for the blog (blog tours/reviews, etc) and read many of my own books, I continue buying books at a greater rate than I can read them.

Thus, my Billy Bookshelf is overflowing with my TBR books!

Below is a list of the books that are actually on my shelf waiting for me and I fully intend to make a dent in this list by year's end:

  1. One day I'll take a picture of my bookshelves..half of which are tbr books. I was trying for a long time to read only what I had...then I started buying again and I can't stop. My TBR pile is the size of a large mountain!!

  2. I have way too many books unread. My problem is that I get so many books from the library that I focus on finishing those before their due dates and neglect the ones I own.

  3. This year, I organised my reading list to be around 22 books. Sounds reasonable enough, right? Well, each time I'd get into a book a few more would show up in the mail or I'd meet up with some other Bookcrossers and we'd swap books... so I've been adding books onto the reading list; making it grow to over 35. Great! But don't worry, I've read 8 books this year so far and I'm proud of myself for getting that far. :D

I'll just keep on plodding along and see how many get read this year... and then try to beat it next year. :D

  4. I may jump on this bandwagon too. I just need to organize things. I'll let you know if I do and when I put up a post. (I'll credit you guys for the brilliant idea!)

  5. I continuously buy books faster than I can read them. I'm somewhat of a book hoarder. I know I'm going to read them eventually, but if I want a book, I refuse to wait til later - even if there's no way I can get to it until later. How sad.

I want to join in on this challenge. I need to get working on my TBR list until it's more manageable (also so it stops mocking me from the shelves).

  6. I don't buy books because I have no money, unless I really love them... Vampire Academy Series and the Night Huntress Series. I am a dedicated lover of the Library.

Good Luck on that huge pile of books you have!
