Teaser Tuesday 4.20.10

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading and it asks us to...
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share a couple of “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!
Isalys's Teaser:
"The Nightlash slammed a thick club down on Shade's skull. The sharp crack echoed through the cell like a gunshot. Shade grunted and settled down, but his eyes glowed, and he still watched her... Watched her with the single-minded intensity of an aroused male who wanted one thing. And wanted it now!"

~ p. 34 from "Desire Unchained (Demonica #2) by Larissa Ione

*Phew* Is it warm in here or is it just me?! ♥Isalys

Vanessa's Teaser:
"Killing is no ordinary act," said the vampire. "One doesn't simply glut oneself on blood." He shook his head. "It is the experience of another's life for certain, and often the experience of the loss of that life through the blood, slowly. It is again and again the experience of that loss of my own life, which I experienced when I sucked the blood from Lestat's wrist and felt his heart pound with my heart. It is again and again a celebration of that experience; because for vampires that is the ultimate experience."

~p. 29 from Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice

  8. I used to be a fan of Anne Rice, then she decided to go all inspirational...I liked it better when she was more gothic horror. I havent read her since.

I absolutely love the Demonica series...But Isy and I seem to share the same taste in books.

V likes more of the thinker books. Unless they are zombie books. I hate zombies...V is not allowed near any zombie books...she changes into something scary..:P

    Cheers Gals.

  9. @Lori: Yeah, I can't believe she went religious on us and now refuses to write Vamp books. It's ok to be religious, I just think she should realize that writing FICTION will not send you to hell! What a dork.

Oh, btw, I'll be finishing my second ZOMBIE book this weekend. Aren't you proud? *tear*
